1. What this policy covers
Cookies are small files a site can store in your browser. This policy uses “cookies” broadly to also cover similar technologies, in particular browser local storage, which some parts of our Service use instead of cookies.
Our surfaces behave differently, so we describe each one. Our main website and client platform are deliberately minimal; our advertising funnel pages use a small number of measurement technologies.
2. The short version
- Our homepage and main website set no advertising cookies and run no analytics.
- Advertising cookies are used on our funnel pages only (/plumbing and /plumber-thank-you).
- Our client panel (/app) stores only a sign-in token needed to keep you logged in.
- We use no analytics product anywhere — no Google Analytics, no Vercel Analytics.
3. Strictly necessary
These are required for a core feature you have asked for and cannot be switched off without breaking it.
Sign-in token (client panel)
When you sign in to the client panel at /app, our authentication provider stores an authentication token in your browser’s local storage (a key named sb-<ref>-auth-token). Its purpose is to keep you signed in during your session. It is set only on the client panel — not on the marketing site or the funnel.
4. Functional
These support how the funnel works but are not strictly essential.
Funnel identifier
On our funnel pages, we store a first-party identifier in local storage (a key named asf_plumbing_uid). It is used to keep a consistent identifier for funnel measurement — for example, to help match a browser-side event with its server-side counterpart. It is set on the funnel pages only.
5. Advertising
These support ad measurement and attribution. They are used on our funnel pages only (/plumbing and /plumber-thank-you), and never on the homepage, the rest of the website, or the client panel.
Meta Pixel
Our funnel pages load the Meta Pixel, which sets:
- _fbp — a first-party cookie Meta uses to identify a browser for ad measurement;
- _fbc — set when you arrive from a Meta ad, capturing the ad click identifier.
We use the Meta Pixel together with the Meta Conversions API to measure the performance of our advertising. Where we send contact details to Meta for ad matching, they are hashed before transmission; this is described in our Privacy Policy.
6. Third-party
Calendly (booking widget)
Our thank-you page (/plumber-thank-you) embeds the Calendly scheduling widget so you can book a call. When you interact with that widget, Calendly may set its own cookies within the widget, under Calendly’s control and privacy terms.
Google Fonts
Our pages load the Inter typeface from Google Fonts. Serving the font means Google receives your IP address as part of the request. Google Fonts does not set a cookie for this.
7. Analytics
None. We do not run Google Analytics, Vercel Analytics, or any other analytics or website-tracking product, and we set no analytics cookies. The only measurement we perform is the advertising measurement on the funnel pages described above.
8. What the homepage and app do not set
The homepage and main website set no advertising cookies, use no analytics, and do not load the Meta Pixel. The homepage includes only a Meta domain-verification tag, which is a static tag that sets nothing in your browser, plus the Google Fonts request described above.
The client panel stores only the strictly necessary sign-in token described in section 3.
9. Consent
A consent mechanism for non-essential (advertising) cookies on our funnel pages, for use in jurisdictions that require it, is a planned control. We do not currently operate a cookie consent banner. Until one is in place, you can control advertising cookies using the browser and Meta controls described below.
10. How to control cookies
- Browser settings. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies and clear local storage. Note that blocking strictly necessary storage will prevent you from signing in to the client panel.
- Meta advertising. You can manage how Meta uses data for advertising through your Meta account’s ad preferences at facebook.com/adpreferences, and through your device or browser ad settings.
11. Changes
We may update this policy as our Service changes. The “last updated” date above reflects the current version.
